Open it back up and begin applying constraints. At this point you can close the sketch and delete every object except the sketch. Delete the links to external geometry in the elements panel on the left side. Use the circle tool to draw a circle by 3 points. Open the sketch and create a link to external geometry to each of the 3 points on the circle. The parameters used for this drawing can be changed. Upon starting, Inkscape normally creates a new blank drawing. Hide everything except the sketch and the discretized edge object. Inkscape drawings are stored in SVG files. Take the fusion to Draft and make a sketch out of it. Select the line objects and in Part workbench fuse them together. Change the Number property to 4 (which gives you 3 points on the perimeter of that circle). Here's an example file that's opening blank for me: Thanks for any help (Ubuntu 18.04) 1 10 comments Best Add a Comment Xrott 3 yr.

For the circle, select that path and create a discretized edge. A little googling didn't turn up much, but admittedly 'inkscape save blank' isn't the most specific of queries. Do this all the way around the perimeter.

Deselect all, then select the next 2 for another line object. Begin at one corner, select two points and create a line object. Only one problem, all the imported elements are bsplines, so not particularly useful to have in a sketch.Īnother way, take the 2 path objects to Curves workbench.
